When a player put a bountie on another one, it remove the ship's assurance of the "criminal" and put the bounty on the ship of the "criminal" is in.
What do you think ?
It would solve all alt problems. Fetchez la vache !

No, it stays on the original ship. You ganked me in a Tempest, I put a bounty on your Tempest, removing the insurance doing so.

Right Click -> Repackage Right Click -> Assemble/Sell Item
I see the problem. So how about not *this* ship, but all Tempests entered by the "criminal" in my exemple ? Fetchez la vache !

Sure, the bounty can be gotten by the players alt. Just jump into a CLONE with no implants, get alt to pod you, WIN!
24 hours later, jump back and spend your isk (minus medical insurance costs).
cool, in my idea the insurance got removed when you had the bounty... Go self destruct, I'm sure someone would be happy about it \o/ Fetchez la vache !

No you get it wrong. It's not "bounty is active only when your killright is active". It's "you can put bounty on someone only if you have an empire killright on him". Then bounties stay. Fetchez la vache !

I'm a pirate. I want lots of bounties. 1- I jumpclone in a no implant clone. Might be easy. 2- **** of 40 guys until I got good bounty. 3- Then I autodestruct or use a 2nd account.

A bountied guy can jumpclone, just won't be able to take bounty from corpse ALPHA killing your BETA or GAMMA corpse, as you are able to do right now.
And as I said, "criminals" would jumpclone in a implant virgin clone before ****ing around. So ?
Virgin implant got 100m bounty. 2nd account. *BOOM*. Profit.

how about taking this off the insurance for how much you put in
Tackle titan, put 35b bounty on it, get it killed by your own people and enemies are out 35b. Too easily abused.

plenty of people have a low-grade set, and cannot use em while ****ing around is a good nerf
Bounties are not here to nerf or prevent pirates, they are suposed to punish guys. This will work the same as before. Over-abused.
Pirate won't use +4/snakesets... Well, great punishement. Fetchez la vache !

there is no Bounty hunter in the current gameplay, as anyone can claim bounties, anywhere, anytime. in your system, the "carebear" can simply void the insurance of a SHIP TYPE flown by the "pirate".
that's a gamebreaking "feature" to me, where a carebear can put bounties for each type of ships the pirate in flying.
oh and, ofc, there is corporation insurance.
I was thinking about only the shiptype the pirate was flying when the carebear had the killrights.
I don't know how the corporation insurance work. It still a financial negative effect to the criminals or his affiliates.
I am not saying my solution is perfect and there is no other. I like it but any other "bounty = negative financial effect to the criminal" would work.
This way, the carebear, by putting bounties < at the financial loss would be sure an unrelated third party would pod the criminal.
It's just maths. Fetchez la vache !
